Stay tuned for our 2025 Walk-A-Thon theme
Why does the BES PTO need a fundraiser?
- To support educational programming such as author visits, zoo visits and more…
- To organize and plan family events such as our annual fall Color Jam, BESt Talent Show, Holiday Fest, STEAM Night, Book Fairs, and more…
- To fund mini-grants for teachers and staff throughout the school year.
- To fund the multi-year Outdoor Learning Center Initiative. We have completed the Outdoor Learning Center. Now we are fundraising for a bird blind, a larger pollinator garden and teacher supplies for students to enjoy learning outside!
What are the goals of our event?
- For each student to collect $50+ in pledges which is the per student cost for all that the PTO provides to each student each year.
- To engage all of BES - students, parents and staff - in a fun-filled event that incorporates fitness and community-building activities.
Students should collect their pledges beginning Thursday, March 13th.
All students must return their collection envelopes to their teacher or make online payments by Friday, April 4th.
How will the students play a part in this event?
- All students will receive an official 2025 Walk-A-Thon t-shirt the morning of the event. ($5 suggested minimum donation)
- All classes will have a time to participate in the outdoor (weather permitting) walk around the school. This also includes game stations, music and dancing by a professional DJ, popcorn and fun with their friends!
- All students will receive a collection envelope with a donation sheet to organize their pledges, OR you can make your donations made by cash, check payable to Boyd E. Smith PTO, or online on our website HERE.
- If your family prefers not to solicit pledges from family, friends and neighbors please consider making a personal donation ($50 is the per student goal).
